Australia now has a temple fully dedicated to Jains. There are also a number of Hindu temples which have Jain diety and are used by Jains to conduct their regular bhajan, scripture classes and other rituals.
History was made in Sydney by the installation of the current Tirthankar Bhagwan Simandhar Swami in Sri Siva Mandir in Minto in Sydney. This is the first installation of Simandhar swami in the southern hemisphere. The instalation was presidedover by Dr Niruben Amin , a renowned spiritual master and a disciple of the self realized soul DadaShri. The main Yajman for the entire ceremony was Dr Dharmesh Shah and family. Sri Shiva Mandir, also known as Minto Temple is located in the suburb of Minto on the outskirts of Sydney. The temple is designed in the form of a cave and houses Shiva linga as its main diety with numerous other dieties including Ram Parivar, Jhule Lal etc and now has Simandhar Swami also. The cave design of the temple was concieved by its original builder Mr Prem Mishra, a devotee of Shiva in Sydney.

Sydney has its own Jain dieties in the Sri Mandir Hindu Temple in Auburn. Murtis of Bhagwan Mahavir Swamy and of Parshav Nath were installed. Auburn temple is located at 286 Cumberland Road, Auburn (phone 02 9649-3369). Every last Sunday of the month, Jain Mandal Puja is held there from 3PM to 5PM.
FIRST Prathistha Utsav of Bhagwan Mahavir Murti was held on March 5th, 2000 at Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre, 81 Redcliffe Crescent, Florey ACT. The occassion was graced by His Holiness Sri Mahaswami Devenderkeerty Bhattarakji from Parsvanath Math, Hombuja, Karanataka in India.
The Hindu temple is located at 81 Ratcliffe Crescent, Florey ACT 2615 in Canberra, the capital of Australia and was founded by Indian community in Australia in 1988. The Murti made of white marble was handcrafted in Jaipur by well known sculpturists and has travelled all the way to Australia.
